Justice Long Overdue: The March For Nicholas Heyward Jr.
This year marks 22 years since 13-year old Nicholas Heyward Jr. was shot to death by NYPD housing cop Brian George in the staircases of the Gowanus Houses. Nicholas would have turned 34 this year.

Join us on Wednesday July 27th as we march from the Gowanus Houses to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office and tell DA Ken Thompson that he must fulfill his campaign promise and fully investigate the 1994 murder of little Nicholas. We will also be delivering a letter of support signed by over 50 organizations and public figures who stand in solidarity with #JusticeForNicholasHeywardJr.

22 years is long enough. Justice cannot continue to drag its feet after all these years.

Come out and stand with Nicholas’ father, Nicholas Heyward Jr., as we show him, and all of the city, that we won’t let Nicholas’ life be lost in vain. #JusticeForNicholasHeywardJr Justice for all victims of police brutality.

We will be leaving from the Gowanus Houses, where Mr. Heyward still lives, at 11:30AM sharp. We will be arriving at the Brooklyn DA’s office at Noon. Join us on the march or meet us there.

The Brooklyn DA’s office is at 350 Jay Street. Take the A/B/C/D to Jay street or 4/5 to Borough Hall.

Heyward
