Report Back: An Evening with Councilman Charles Barron and
other Viva Palestina Convoy Activists Fresh From the Gaza Strip

Councilmember Barron and over two hundred convoy participants recently returned from their Humanitarian Mission to the Gaza Strip. They accomplished their goal in breaking the genocidal siege on Gaza by delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. While the mission was ultimately a success, it was not without its challenges and roadblocks along the way, including a “showdown” at the Suez Canal with the Egyptian Military. The presentation will include pictures and some video revealing the devastation experienced by the people of Gaza. All are encouraged to attend this very special event.

The Viva Palestina convoy was organized in conjunction with Pastors for Peace. Listed below are a few people who played a leading role in this effort include British Parliament Member George Galloway, Councilman Charles Barron, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, M1 of Revolutionary Hip Hop group Dead Prez, Viva Palestina National Organizer Fatima Mohammadi, Nancy Leigh of Existence Resistance, activist Lamont Carolina, Operation P.O.W.E.R Co-Chair Nayo Simmons, Bill Doar of Al-Awda, and Brandon King of The New Malcolm X movement.
