Subject: Lunch by Special Invitation with Management
It is my understanding that special invitations were extended to certain of our fellow ALAA members in Bklyn to have lunch with Banks and Levine today to discuss general issues affecting the staff and general conditions, etc. We have a union and our union should be the one to decide who meets with management around any given issues. I believe that those invited should have refused on principle. We cannot allow management to have exchanges with hand picked attorneys just because they feel more “comfortable” this way. This subverts our democractic process and weakens our union.
