Campaign to End the Death Penalty

SAVE KENNETH FOSTER!!!  HELP STOP THE EXECUTION!!!

The State of Texas intends to execute Kenneth Foster on August 30th.  Unlike any other state in this country, Texas utilizes a unique statutewhich allows the State to subject a person to death even though he did not kill, intend to kill, help or encourage anyone to do so.  It’s called the Law of Parties, and because of it, Kenneth is languishing on death row, found guilty of a murder that he did not committ.

From death row, Kenneth is asking for out HELP!  On July 20th, there will be a National Day of Action to support the fight for his life.  We’re asking everybody to e-mail, fax, or call GOVERNOR PERRY’S OFFICE.

Phone: (512) 463-1782

Fax: (512) 463-1849

E-mail:  www.governor.state.tx.us/contact send a message from the governor’s website __________________________________________________________________________

Here is NYC, the Campaign to End the Death Penalty and the Welfare Poets are holding a Community Forum on Thursday, July 26th @ 7.00pm to talk about what we can do to save Kenneth’s life.  Guest speakers include the Hip-Hop Poetry Collective The Welfare Poets and R.E.A.C. Hip-Hop Coalition founder Rosa Clemente.  We invite everyone to come to St. Mary’s Church (521 West 126th Street b/t Broadway and Amsterdam in Harlem) to talk about how we can FIGHT FOR KENNETH’S LIFE!
